Navigating the Confusion of Self-Discovery
Because Being a Couch Potato Won't Cut It
Ever feel like
you're stuck in the Groundhog Day of good intentions? Welcome to the
perplexing journey of self-discovery, where finding yourself is as
elusive as a cat deciding to follow commands. Let's be real – being a good person
is so last season. It's time to level up, and no, we're not talking about your
Candy Crush skills.
In
the immortal words of Harvey Specter, 'I'm not about
caring, I'm about winning’. So, in a
world where dreams of a car, a mansion, and all those fancy things are thrown
around like confetti at a mediocre party, it's high time
we address the elephant in the room. Dreaming is
great, but last time I checked, dreaming alone doesn't pay the bills. So, how
about we put on our big boy/girl pants and make a plan? Shocking, I know.
Now, let's talk about the 's' word –
selfishness. Society might frown upon it, but newsflash: the only company you're
stuck with for a lifetime is you. So, be a little selfish, and no, it
won't get you on Santa's naughty list. It might actually be the key to
unlocking your own version of success.
Perfection? Yeah, right. We're all a bit rough
around the edges, and that's putting it mildly. But guess what? To become a
diamond, you've got to walk through the dumpster fire of life. Enrolling in a course is cute, but if
you think the certificate is the golden ticket, you're in for a reality check.
You've got to work so hard that even your coffee needs a coffee break.
Morning choices – they sound so profound until you
realize it's just deciding whether to hit the snooze button or not. But
seriously, the choices you make in the a.m. can make or break your day. So,
what's it going to be? Tear-stained pillows or conquering the world?
Tough call, huh?
Life's a soap opera, but you don't have to audition for
a role. Instead of drowning in the melodrama, how about we learn to laugh at
it? Spoiler
alert: life will throw curveballs, and you're going to need a wicked sense of
humor to survive. Trust me, it's more effective than a suit of armor.
Tomorrow might not come – a cheery thought to kickstart your
existential crisis. But seriously, what's your endgame? Lazing around like a cat in a sunbeam or making the most out of
every moment? It's not rocket
science, but it's also not binge-watching your favorite show for the umpteenth
time.
Controlling
your brain is like controlling the TV remote – a power move. Ever heard
that saying about controlling your stomach and controlling your brain? Yeah,
it's a thing. So, maybe put down that second tub of ice cream and reclaim your
brain from its rebellious state.
Understanding yourself before playing Sherlock with others is the
name of the game. Silence isn't just the absence of noise; it's a masterclass
in self-awareness. Try it sometime – no theatrics, just you, your thoughts,
and maybe a snack because let's be honest, snacks make everything
better.
Phones get
upgrades, and so should you. What's your well-being plan? What example are you
setting? How
do you want to be remembered – as a cardboard cutout or someone who made life
their playground? Simple
questions with not-so-simple answers.
And now, cue the sarcasm! I
want to be remembered as a dedicated person. Someone who poured her heart at
whatever she put her mind at. I want to be remembered as a person so strong
that she never gave up. Someone who was conquering silence. Who would go on
days without talking and still be content. She had a constantly budding pursuit
towards spiritualism. She was a multi-tasker, a DIY queen.
Yes, that's me, and that's how I want
to be remembered. It's not self-loathing; it's me. This is me, a new-found me.
I am made of my experiences and my choices. and I wouldn't have it any other
way. I chose to be strong because it was easier to be weak, and I don't like
easy.
So, in case
you're wondering, have I figured out how I want to be remembered? Yes, I have.
And it's a masterpiece in progress.

Lots of Love
